[Abstract]:The 16th century is at the end of the Middle Ages and a new era of the Italian Renaissance. In this hopeful era, European Jews were put in an all-out disadvantage, with France, Spain, certain territories of Germany and Portugal expelling Jews in full succession. But Italy at this time, because of the special circumstances-the political fragmentation, the pope, out of humanitarian and rational tolerance, the enlightened social atmosphere created by the Renaissance, became a good haven for Jews to take refuge and rest for a while. It provided favorable conditions for the rise of Italian Jewish scholars in the 16th century. Most of these Jewish scholars have been influenced by good Jewish traditional education and western philosophy, science and literature. Italy's special socio-cultural environment gave them special features of the times-versatile, floating Jewish seeds and a complex of multiple identities and cultures. As an actual social group in Italy at that time, they could not and were not excluded from the Italian Renaissance, but had a positive impact on the whole process of the Italian Renaissance. They communicate with Christian scholars, study, teach, translate classical literature, copy, print and disseminate Hebrew texts at Italian universities. Thus, it opened up a new source of knowledge for the learned Christian scholars, made great contributions to expand the vision of European culture, cultivate many European thinkers, and promoted the revival of Hebrew culture and the spread of the Italian Renaissance spirit in various places. At the same time, more importantly, they also participated directly in the cultural creation of the Renaissance, enriching the treasure house of the Italian Renaissance.
