霍華德的外交思想與澳美同盟的重振

【摘要】：澳大利亞作為地區(qū)性大國,結(jié)盟一直是其外交政策的重要組成部分。冷戰(zhàn)結(jié)束后,澳美同盟并沒有隨著共產(chǎn)主義威脅的消失而解散,反而在全球化和恐怖主義威脅的國際大背景下變得更加鞏固。1996年以霍華德為代表的澳大利亞自由黨政府上臺執(zhí)政,結(jié)束了工黨政府13年的連續(xù)執(zhí)政時間�；羧A德自由黨政府是打著“重振”澳美同盟的旗幟上臺的。霍華德認為作為澳大利亞外交支柱的澳美關(guān)系由于工黨政府的以亞洲為“唯一”的政策而受到了極大的損傷,新政府將致力于澳美關(guān)系的進一步鞏固。1996-2007年在霍華德連續(xù)12年的執(zhí)政時間里,澳美關(guān)系得到極大推動,澳大利亞成為美國“最忠誠的盟友”�；羧A德在推動澳美同盟關(guān)系發(fā)展的進程中發(fā)揮了重要作用。在霍華德的積極推動下,澳美同盟關(guān)系走向頂峰。
[Abstract]:As a regional power, Australia's alliance has been an important part of its foreign policy. Since the end of the Cold War, the Australia-US alliance has not been dissolved with the disappearance of the threat of communism. Instead, it became more consolidated in the international context of globalization and the threat of terrorism. In 1996, the Australian Liberal Government, represented by Howard, came to power, ending 13 consecutive years of Labour government. The Howard Liberal government came to power under the banner of revitalizing the Australian-American alliance. Howard believes that the relationship between Australia and the United States, which is the mainstay of Australian diplomacy, has been greatly damaged by the Labor Government's "sole" policy on Asia. The new administration will work to further strengthen the relationship between Australia and the United States. During Howard's 12 consecutive years in power from 1996 to 2007, Australia-US relations have been greatly promoted, and Australia has become the "most loyal ally" of the United States. Howard played an important role in promoting the development of the Australian-American alliance. Under Howard's active promotion, the Australian-American alliance relations go to the pinnacle.
