【摘要】： 天主教在美國的發(fā)展經(jīng)歷了一個漫長的過程,從最初的被敵視到現(xiàn)在的被接受和受到贊賞,這期間有個非常大的轉(zhuǎn)變。這種轉(zhuǎn)變與人們通常所說的“融入”不同,美國天主教與新教社會的關(guān)系以“融合”概之顯得更貼切,因為在多元的美國社會,并不存在一個融入的對象,而且天主教社會也并沒有失去自己的特性,仍然視自己為一個獨特的信仰群體。隨著時代發(fā)展,天主教社會逐漸與美國新教社會進行融合,本文要討論的就是這種融合。從融合這個概念出發(fā),我們將討論以下兩個問題: 一、天主教與新教社會的融合為什么能夠發(fā)生?融合的進程又是怎樣的? 二、哪些因素在融合過程中發(fā)揮了作用?它們又是如何發(fā)揮作用的? 為了回答這兩個問題,本文將著眼于20世紀上半期,因為這是天主教與新教關(guān)系發(fā)生變化的轉(zhuǎn)折時期,有許多重大的歷史事件可供觀察。本文的基本內(nèi)容是: 第一部分,提出天主教與新教社會的融合問題,從美國天主教社會的形成和發(fā)展來探究融合的內(nèi)涵,并解答這樣一個問題:為什么要選擇融合? 第二部分,以天主徒個人身份的認同為觀察點,考察融合的前提和基礎(chǔ),分析這種前提和基礎(chǔ)形成的原因。 第三部分,考察天主教社會在經(jīng)濟事務(wù)中的反應(yīng)和活動,以及這種活動的影響,以此來分析其在經(jīng)濟方面與新教社會的融合情況。 第四部分,考察天主教社會在重大政治事件中的活動,根據(jù)其在某些具體政治事務(wù)(如教會學校的地位問題)上的活動來考察天主教社會的政治理念和目的,探究其在政治方面與新教社會的融合情況。 第五部分,在討論天主教與新教社會融合情況的基礎(chǔ)上,總結(jié)天主教社會的各項舉措,分析其原因和影響并得出結(jié)論。 通過分析,我們最終發(fā)現(xiàn):美國的宗教環(huán)境、天主教會領(lǐng)導人的引導、天主教徒自身正確的身份定位和采取恰當?shù)姆绞降纫蛩?均在整個融合過程中發(fā)揮了重要作用;教廷善意對待美國和美國天主教也起了積極影響;社會的多元化、宗教信仰的世俗化和個人化傾向也是這種融合不可缺少的大背景。
[Abstract]:The development of Catholicism in the United States has gone through a long process, from being hostile to being accepted and appreciated now, during which time there has been a great change. This shift is different from what is commonly referred to as "integration". The relationship between Catholicism and Protestantism in the United States is more closely related to "integration," because in a pluralistic American society, there is no object of inclusion. And the Catholic community did not lose its identity and still regarded itself as a unique faith group. With the development of the times, the Catholic society and the Protestant society of the United States gradually merge, this article will discuss this kind of fusion. From the concept of integration, we will discuss the following two questions: first, why can the integration of Catholicism and Protestantism take place? What is the process of integration? Second, what factors play a role in the integration process? How do they work? In order to answer these two questions, this paper will focus on the first half of the 20th century, because this is a turning point in the relationship between Catholicism and Protestantism, and there are many important historical events to be observed. The basic contents of this paper are as follows: in the first part, the integration of Catholicism and Protestantism is put forward, and the connotation of integration is explored from the formation and development of Catholic society in the United States. And answer the question: why choose fusion? The second part, taking the personal identity of God as the observation point, examines the premise and foundation of fusion, and analyzes the reasons for the formation of this premise and foundation. In the third part, the reaction and activities of Catholic society in economic affairs and the influence of such activities are investigated to analyze the integration of the Catholic society and the Protestant society in the economic aspect. The fourth part examines the activities of Catholic society in major political events, and examines the political ideas and purposes of Catholic society according to its activities in certain specific political affairs, such as the status of church schools. Explore its political integration with Protestant society. The fifth part, on the basis of discussing the integration of Catholicism and Protestantism, summarizes the measures of Catholic society, analyzes its causes and influences, and draws a conclusion. Finally, we find that the religious environment of the United States, the guidance of Catholic leaders, the correct identity of Catholics themselves and the adoption of appropriate methods have all played an important role in the whole process of integration; The Holy see's goodwill towards the United States and American Catholicism has also played a positive role; the diversity of society and the secularization and individualization of religious beliefs are also the indispensable background for this integration.
