【摘要】：18世紀(jì),英國中產(chǎn)階級在巨大經(jīng)濟(jì)變革發(fā)生時通過商業(yè)及相關(guān)活動獲得了經(jīng)濟(jì)上的成功,并開始試圖在社會各個領(lǐng)域發(fā)出自己的聲音。對把握著文化領(lǐng)導(dǎo)權(quán)的上層貴族文化的學(xué)習(xí)仿效成為中產(chǎn)階級水到渠成的選擇。伴隨著工業(yè)革命在英國各地興起,中產(chǎn)階級的科學(xué)事業(yè)蓬勃發(fā)展�？茖W(xué)作為一種文化產(chǎn)物,一方面承載了中產(chǎn)階級的理想,成為社交活動最合適的話題,另一方面科普書籍、畫作、科學(xué)儀器等相關(guān)商品大量進(jìn)入消費(fèi)市場,幫助富裕的中產(chǎn)階級定位心理身份,也提高了自我地位。到18世紀(jì)末,科學(xué)已日漸成為一種被全社會認(rèn)同的話語形式,內(nèi)化為普通人的心理需求,在這個意義上中產(chǎn)階級取得了文化上的勝利。
[Abstract]:In the 18th century, the British middle class achieved economic success through business and related activities when great economic changes took place, and began to try to make their voices heard in all spheres of society. Learning and emulating the upper aristocratic culture, which holds the cultural leadership, is a natural choice for the middle class. With the rise of the Industrial Revolution throughout Britain, the scientific cause of the middle class flourished. As a cultural product, science, on the one hand, carries the ideals of the middle class and becomes the most suitable topic for social activities. On the other hand, popular science books, paintings, scientific instruments and other related commodities have entered the consumer market in large quantities. Helping the wealthy middle class to position their psychological identity also improves their self-status. By the end of the 18th century, science had gradually become a discourse form recognized by the whole society and internalized into the psychological needs of ordinary people. In this sense, the middle class achieved a cultural victory.
