世界歷史語境中的文化認同研究

【摘要】:在生產(chǎn)力的發(fā)展和普遍交往的推動下,民族、國家的界限被打破,不同民族、國家都將納入世界發(fā)展的格局,意味著人類整體發(fā)展時代的到來,歷史進入了世界歷史。世界歷史進程消解了文化與特定地域之間的親密關(guān)系,形成了一個流動的文化空間,在這個空間里,文化迅速傳播,大量文化和生活方式在人們面前展開,這種文化傳播的革命,一方面能使文化獲得更廣闊的生存空間,擴大文化的交往能力與影響力;另一方面,這個文化迅速流動的空間也成為強勢文化擴張的工具,里面充斥著西方的文化內(nèi)容和符號,西方文化的咄咄逼人激起了各民族文化主體意識的覺醒。各民族、國家都在思考如何抵制世界歷史進程中的同質(zhì)性和普世性暴力,保持自身的特殊性與差異性;同時也謀求適應世界歷史進程,融入世界文化的舉措。文化認同本身所具有的“同一性”和“差異性”,恰好既能喚起對同一文化模式的集體歸屬感,又能將具有不同文化特質(zhì)的人和社會聯(lián)系起來。于是文化認同以其自身的建構(gòu)本質(zhì)和整合意義引起了社會領(lǐng)域的廣泛關(guān)注。 世界歷史語境是一個體驗時間與空間、自我與他人,特殊與普遍、差異性與同一性的場域,在這個場域中所經(jīng)歷的種種矛盾與融合也塑造著我們對文化認同的關(guān)注與理解。文化認同敦促屬于不同生活世界的人們以鮮明的文化個性去迎接異族文化和世界文化的挑戰(zhàn),文化個性是一個民族或文化共同體通過歷史的積淀與延續(xù)展現(xiàn)出來的一種文化上的根本氣質(zhì),體現(xiàn)著一個民族的民族精神、文化心習的歷史傳統(tǒng)性、連續(xù)性、統(tǒng)一性和穩(wěn)定性。建立起獨具特色的“自我形象”與價值體系,能增強自我生活世界的內(nèi)在強度以抵御“普遍化”的浪潮。然而文化認同不能僅僅停留在自我認識、自我確證的水平上,原封不動地表達既定的文化,無法體現(xiàn)出文化認同的主體性,還需要在認識自我的基礎上發(fā)展自我、完善自我,通過批判的否定,創(chuàng)造一個動態(tài)發(fā)展的全新自我。但是創(chuàng)造并不是隨心所欲的創(chuàng)造,每一種文化都有一個既定的文化傳統(tǒng),貫穿在文化發(fā)展的歷史進程中,始終影響著文化的演進和創(chuàng)新,這個傳統(tǒng)既是文化創(chuàng)造的出發(fā)點,又是自我完善的根本歸宿。我們不斷的在時代發(fā)展中創(chuàng)造出新的生活形式、新的文化、新的時代價值,這種創(chuàng)新并不是要變成他人,而是要肯定自己,回到自己;貧w自我是把所屬他人的優(yōu)秀成果吸收進來,打上自我心靈的印記,把一切都包容在自身的否定之否定。文化認同就是這樣一個認識自我、創(chuàng)造自我、回歸自我的否定之否定的永恒的過程。 文化傳統(tǒng)是歷經(jīng)社會變遷和歷史沉浮而延續(xù)下來的、穩(wěn)定的、深層的生活方式,它強化了自我意識和自我認同,使得民族、國家能在經(jīng)濟、技術(shù)日新月異的“變化”中把握一種專屬于自我的“不變”。價值是文化的靈魂,引導著一個民族的生存和發(fā)展,也是文化認同的基礎,文化認同需要通過價值領(lǐng)域的特殊化和具體化而賦予其內(nèi)涵。宗教作為一種客觀存在的社會力量,能撫平變幻莫測的現(xiàn)代化帶來的精神創(chuàng)傷,充分發(fā)揮宗教認同的道德教化功能,能夠使之更好地服務于精神家園的建設。不同領(lǐng)域的文化認同都在保持文化的活力與生命力方面發(fā)揮著各自重要的作用。 結(jié)合歷史、現(xiàn)在與未來的要求,通過文化自覺確立自己在多元文化世界里的位置,通過經(jīng)濟的繁榮發(fā)展,展現(xiàn)自我文化的優(yōu)越性,在世界普遍交往中以充分的自信認同自我,以和而不同的胸懷認同他人,努力營造出以全人類利益為載體的和諧多元的世界文化圖景。
