【摘要】:本文以東哥特政權(quán)作為研究對(duì)象,主要討論的是5世紀(jì)后期和6世紀(jì)前期羅馬帝國(guó)西部的政治史。本文將會(huì)基于這一時(shí)期豐富的史料來(lái)論證東哥特統(tǒng)治時(shí)期羅馬帝國(guó)西部政權(quán)的延續(xù)。本文分為四個(gè)章節(jié)。本文第一章所探討的是羅馬人的蠻族觀。本章試圖說(shuō)明,“羅馬人”這一身份更多地是一種政治身份,這種身份可以包容種族、文化和地域上的差異。因此,“蠻族”和“羅馬人”并不是兩種完全對(duì)立的身份,只要符合一定的條件,蠻族也同樣有可能成為羅馬人,甚至還可能被看成是羅馬人的典范。本文第二章論述的是東哥特政權(quán)建立前羅馬帝國(guó)西部的歷史環(huán)境。這一章中首先將會(huì)對(duì)5世紀(jì)后期羅馬帝國(guó)西部的政治局勢(shì)進(jìn)行概述,并且在此基礎(chǔ)上追溯“476年羅馬帝國(guó)西部政權(quán)滅亡”這一觀念形成的原因。本章試圖說(shuō)明,“476年西部政權(quán)滅亡”的觀念和476年前后的實(shí)際情況并不相符,這也不是當(dāng)時(shí)羅馬人的認(rèn)識(shí)。“476年滅亡論”的出現(xiàn)和476年以后羅馬帝國(guó)東部與西部之間復(fù)雜的政治聯(lián)系有關(guān),其所針對(duì)的也是東哥特政權(quán)統(tǒng)治的合法性。本文第三章首先論述了東哥特政權(quán)建立的經(jīng)過(guò),然后集中討論了東哥特政權(quán)在政治體制和統(tǒng)治措施上所展現(xiàn)的羅馬特征。東哥特政權(quán)在羅馬帝國(guó)西部的統(tǒng)治獲得了羅馬皇帝的認(rèn)可,東哥特統(tǒng)治者尊奉羅馬皇帝,并且沿襲了羅馬帝國(guó)西部既有的政治體制,甚至還能夠利用羅馬傳統(tǒng)來(lái)宣揚(yáng)其統(tǒng)治的合法性。本章試圖說(shuō)明,東哥特統(tǒng)治者將自身視為羅馬統(tǒng)治者,并且以羅馬帝國(guó)的名義在進(jìn)行統(tǒng)治。本文第四章從西部元老階層的視角來(lái)探討羅馬人對(duì)東哥特政權(quán)的看法。這一章將會(huì)注重分析西部元老階層對(duì)羅馬帝國(guó)的認(rèn)知,并且會(huì)將西部元老階層理念中的羅馬帝國(guó)和查士丁尼理念中的羅馬帝國(guó)進(jìn)行比較,從而展現(xiàn)出古典世界向中世紀(jì)基督教世界過(guò)渡階段的一些特征。通過(guò)上述各章的論述,我們將會(huì)對(duì)5世紀(jì)后期和6世紀(jì)前期羅馬帝國(guó)西部的歷史有一個(gè)新的認(rèn)識(shí):在這個(gè)時(shí)代中,羅馬帝國(guó)西部并沒(méi)有因?yàn)椤靶U族入侵”而走向衰亡,羅馬的古典文化傳統(tǒng)也仍然在延續(xù)。對(duì)羅馬帝國(guó)及其所繼承的古典文化傳統(tǒng)來(lái)說(shuō),這并不是一個(gè)衰亡的時(shí)代,而是一個(gè)延續(xù)和轉(zhuǎn)型的時(shí)代。
[Abstract]:This paper focuses on the political history of the western Roman Empire in the late 5th century and the early sixth century.Based on the abundant historical data of this period, this paper will demonstrate the continuation of the western regime of the Roman Empire during the period of Toggoth.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter of this paper discusses the Roman view of the barbarian race.This chapter attempts to show that the Roman identity is more of a political identity that accommodates racial, cultural and geographical differences.Therefore, "barbarian" and "Roman" are not two completely opposite identities, so long as they meet certain conditions, the barbarian race may also become a Roman, or even be regarded as a Roman model.The second chapter deals with the historical environment of the western part of the Roman Empire.In this chapter, the political situation in the western part of the Roman Empire in the late 5th century will be summarized, and on this basis, the reasons for the formation of the concept of "the demise of the western regime of the Roman Empire in 476" will be traced back.This chapter attempts to explain that the idea of "the demise of the Western regime in 476" does not correspond to the actual situation around 476.This was not the knowledge of the Romans at that time. The appearance of "the death of 476" was related to the complicated political connection between the eastern and western parts of the Roman Empire after 476, and it was also aimed at the legitimacy of the rule of the Donggoth regime.The third chapter first discusses the process of the establishment of the Donggoth regime, and then focuses on the Roman characteristics of the Donggoth regime in the political system and ruling measures.The rule of the Eastern Gothic regime in the western part of the Roman Empire was recognized by the Roman emperors, who respected the Roman emperors and followed the established political system in the western part of the Roman Empire.Even the Roman tradition can be used to promote the legitimacy of its rule.This chapter attempts to show that the Toggoth rulers regard themselves as Roman rulers and rule in the name of the Roman Empire.The fourth chapter discusses the views of the Roman people on the Donggoth regime from the perspective of the western patriarchal class.This chapter will focus on the analysis of the western patriarchal class's perception of the Roman Empire, and will compare the Roman Empire in the idea of the Western Elders with the Roman Empire in the ideas of Justinian.Thus showing some characteristics of the transition from the classical world to the medieval Christian world.Through the above chapters, we will have a new understanding of the history of the western part of the Roman Empire in the late fifth and early sixth centuries: in this era, the western part of the Roman Empire did not decline and perish because of the "barbarian invasion".Roman classical cultural traditions also continue.For the Roman Empire and its heritage of classical culture, this is not an era of decline and death, but a time of continuity and transformation.
