[Abstract]:As an island country surrounded by the sea, long before Perry led the fleet to Japan, a group of Japanese had already begun to go abroad, opening the historical curtain of Japanese emigration.Although the United States and Japan are separated by the vast Pacific Ocean, the sea does not prevent friendly exchanges between the peoples of the two countries. The United States, which was much more powerful than Japan at that time, was under the attack of a black ship, and the Japanese began to migrate to the United States with the hope of embarking on American territory. As a large number of Japanese live in different cultures of the United States, with the passage of time, the cultural differences between the two sides also continue to appear, contradictions also followed. At that time, although the Japanese government regarded the Japanese overseas as its own "subjects" and administered them, due to the great disparity in power between the United States and Japan, Japan and the United States were often in a passive position in diplomatic negotiations involving Japanese nationals. In the late Meiji period, Japan became more and more powerful. In the face of discrimination and oppression of its immigrants, Japan began to negotiate tit-for-tat with the United States on the issue of overseas Chinese affairs. This paper focuses on the reasons and course of Japanese immigration to the United States, focusing on three issues, namely, the internal and external reasons and the course of Japanese immigrants, the reasons and course of the United States' exclusion from Japan, and the characteristics of diplomatic representations to the United States on the issue of Japan's exclusion from Japan. In addition to the preface, the article mainly consists of the following four parts: the first part is the reason and course of Japanese emigration to the United States, mainly analyzes the internal and external reasons of Japanese emigration to the United States and the historical process of emigration. The second part is the social situation and immigration environment of the United States, mainly analyzes the social environment of the United States at that time and the historical reasons of accepting Japanese immigrants. The third part is the Japanese living conditions in the United States and the Japanese movement in the United States, focusing on the analysis of the living conditions of Japanese immigrants in the United States and the reasons for the American anti-Japanese movement. The fourth part is the diplomatic negotiation against the United States and Japan, and this part is mainly a brief review of Japan's representations to the United States.
