【摘要】：甲午戰(zhàn)爭起因研究是蔣廷黻中國近代史研究中的一個重要內(nèi)容。盡管他的觀點成熟于1931年前后,但是在1932年與美國東亞史權(quán)威魁特的學(xué)術(shù)交鋒中,又展現(xiàn)出其對晚清外交思路的具體而有針對性的思考,試圖描繪出甲午戰(zhàn)前中日外交走勢逐漸形成的具體歷史環(huán)境,并以此修正美國學(xué)界乃至國際學(xué)界中部分學(xué)者的偏頗立場�？貙κY廷黻觀點的反應(yīng)以及蔣廷黻隨后指導(dǎo)學(xué)生所做的深入研究表明,以蔣廷黻為代表的一代民國學(xué)人,在兼顧調(diào)和與超越西方的過程中,為中國近代史研究定下了研究基調(diào)。
[Abstract]:The study of the causes of the Sino-Japanese War is an important part of Jiang Tingfu's study of the modern history of China. Although his views matured around 1931, in the 1932 academic confrontation with the American authority of East Asian History Quidt, he also showed his specific and targeted thinking on the diplomatic thinking of the late Qing Dynasty. This paper attempts to describe the specific historical environment in which the diplomatic trend of China and Japan gradually formed before the Sino-Japanese War of 1895, and to correct the biased position of some scholars in the American academic circles and even in the international academic circles. Quidt's reaction to Jiang Ting-fu 's viewpoint and his subsequent research on the guidance of Jiang Ting-fu show that Jiang Ting-fu is the representative of a generation of Republican scholars in the process of reconciliation and transcendence of the West. Set the tone for the study of Chinese modern history.
