【摘要】：在古希臘的歷史書寫中,“命運(yùn)”占據(jù)重要地位。本文以《荷馬史詩(shī)》、希羅多德的《歷史》以及修昔底德的《伯羅奔尼撒戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)史》為文本,探討命運(yùn)何以作用于史家書寫歷史中。本文從命運(yùn)與自然環(huán)境、戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)以及人事三個(gè)面向出發(fā),比較歷史意識(shí)在古希臘三位史家中的覺(jué)醒。在命運(yùn)與自然環(huán)境的關(guān)系上,《荷馬史詩(shī)》中命運(yùn)以“鳥兆”為使,希羅多德則更多借助夢(mèng)兆、風(fēng)雨雷電、動(dòng)物怪狀等自然異象。在修昔底德筆下,自然現(xiàn)象和命運(yùn)之間的對(duì)應(yīng)關(guān)系則遭到徹底的解構(gòu)。關(guān)于命運(yùn)對(duì)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)過(guò)程和結(jié)果的影響,荷馬認(rèn)為神意注定勝敗生死于陣前。希羅多德則經(jīng)由對(duì)于神諭解釋過(guò)程中的不軌和隨意描述,表達(dá)了自己對(duì)于“命運(yùn)”的懷疑。修昔底德則在繼承希羅多德書寫方式的基礎(chǔ)上,進(jìn)一步反諷“神命”,同時(shí)將命運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)義為“偶然”。關(guān)于命運(yùn)對(duì)人事的左右,荷馬史詩(shī)將“死亡”置于命運(yùn)的中心,并將宙斯賦予命運(yùn)最終裁定者地位。希羅多德和修昔底德則將“命運(yùn)”的內(nèi)涵與“道德”和“理性”相連,從而賦予“命運(yùn)”以人文主義色彩。通觀三者,在對(duì)于“命運(yùn)”及其轉(zhuǎn)義保持著基本肯定的態(tài)度的同時(shí),也呈現(xiàn)出逐步否定“命運(yùn)”中神秘色彩的趨勢(shì)。這種二元性,彰顯了將“人”及其能動(dòng)性置于時(shí)代變遷中央的古希臘“歷史意識(shí)”的覺(jué)醒。
[Abstract]:Destiny occupies an important position in the historical writing of ancient Greece. Based on Homer Epic, Herodotus History and Thucydides War History of Peloponnezza, this paper discusses how fate plays an important role in the history of historians. This paper compares the awakening of historical consciousness among the three historians of ancient Greece from the aspects of fate and natural environment, war and personnel. In the relationship between fate and natural environment, in Homer Epic, fate is made by "Bird's sign", and Herodotus relies more on natural vision such as dream omen, wind, rain, thunder and lightning, animal strange shape and so on. In Thucydides' writings, the relationship between natural phenomena and fate was thoroughly deconstructed. As for fate's influence on the course and outcome of the war, Homer believes that God is doomed to victory and defeat. Herodotus expresses his doubts about fate by dishonesty and random description of the oracle. Thucydides, on the basis of inheriting Herodotus' writing style, further satirizes the "divine destiny" and renounces fate as "chance". The Homer epic puts death at the center of fate and gives Zeus the status of final determinant of fate. Herodotus and Thucydides connected the connotation of "fate" with "morality" and "reason", thus endowing "fate" with humanism. While maintaining a basic positive attitude towards "fate" and its escape, the three aspects also show a tendency of gradually negating the mysterious color of "fate". This duality reveals the awakening of ancient Greek "historical consciousness", which places "man" and its initiative at the center of the change of the times.
