【摘要】：1886年7月,由英國(guó)地理探險(xiǎn)家詹姆斯(H.E.M.James)和揚(yáng)哈斯本(Younghusband,Sir Francis Edward)等人組成的考察隊(duì)對(duì)中國(guó)長(zhǎng)白山主峰白頭山天池地區(qū)進(jìn)行了科學(xué)考察,揚(yáng)哈斯本成為登上長(zhǎng)白山最高峰的第一位西方人,首次用近代科學(xué)方法測(cè)定了長(zhǎng)白山主峰的高度,從而更正了此前西方文獻(xiàn)中對(duì)長(zhǎng)白山的諸多錯(cuò)誤記載。
[Abstract]:In July 1886, a team of British geographical explorers H.E.M.James and Younghusband,Sir Francis Edward) made a scientific investigation of the Tianchi area, the main peak of Changbai Mountain in China. Yang Haskaben became the first westerner to climb the highest peak of Changbai Mountain. He first measured the height of the main peak of Changbai Mountain by modern scientific method, thus correcting many wrong records of Changbai Mountain in the previous western literature.
