Abstract:NationalparksareanimportantcarrierofChinesenaturalandculturalheritages.Bytakingasmanyas225NationalParksinChinaasthestudyobject,thepaper,consideringdiver-sifiedtypologyofnationalparksanddissimilarityoftheirhistoriccontextandregionalgeo-graphicalcondition,mainlyinitiatesanalysisofthespatialdistributionwiththeaidofanalyti-calplatformlikeArcGISandvariousquantitativestatisticalmethods,suchasNearestNeighborIndex(NNI),Chi-squaretest,costweighteddistancemethod,Kolmogorov-SmirnovTestandsoon.Bytheabovemeans,nationalscalespatialdistributioncharacteristicofnationalparksinChinawereinvestigated.Theresultscanbeobtainedasfollows:Nationalparkspresentanover-allcondensedstateinChina,whilenaturedominanceandculturedominancetakeondifferentspatialdistributingstate.Thespatialdistributioncharacteristicsofnationalparksincorrelationtophysicalgeographyelementsareasfollows:first,88.89%ofnationalparksinChinaembodyaconcentrateddistributionnearsurfacewaterarea(rivers,lakesandoceans).Second,thedistri-butionofnationalparksinChinahasacloserelationwithgeomorphicfeatureandgeologicstructureandtendstoclusteratthegeomorphologicladderbeltandhaslittleconnectionwithterrainandmountainpeak.Third,nationalparkstendtobelocatedattheareawithwidevarietyofvegetation.Thespatialdistributioncharacteristicsofnationalparksincorrelationtoele-mentsofhumanitygeographyareasfollows:first,nationalparksarehomogeneouslydistribut-edinthesubregionsofculturegeographicalareainaccordancewithdifferenttypes,forexam-ples,fourholymountainsofChineseBuddhismandfourholymountainsofChineseTaoismarelocatedindifferentsubregions.Second,nationalparksareconcentratedintheareaswithbetteraccessibility,withaveragearrivaltimebylandtransport75minandbyaerialtransport96.7min.Morethan1/3ofnationalparksand40%ofnationalparkswithculturedominanceareclusteredatarangeof100kmaroundinportantancientcities.Third,thespatialdistributionofnationalparksdoesnothavedirectconnectionwiththelevelofmoderneconomicdevelop-ment,butdependsonnationalinvestmentandconstruction.
