【摘要】：在《幽暗意識(shí)與民主傳統(tǒng)》一文中,張灝試圖解釋為什么西方發(fā)展出民主而中國(guó)沒(méi)有,其觀點(diǎn)在華人學(xué)界有很大影響。但很多持幽暗意識(shí)論的人并沒(méi)有真正理解張灝這篇文章的細(xì)致與微妙。事實(shí)上,無(wú)論從西方哲學(xué)還是從中國(guó)哲學(xué)傳統(tǒng)考察,張灝的論點(diǎn)都有大而無(wú)當(dāng)之嫌,經(jīng)不起仔細(xì)的考察。以基督教為背景的幽暗意識(shí)并不是自由民主的充分條件,也不是后者的必要條件。儒家的幽暗意識(shí),從發(fā)展民主的角度,并不如張灝所說(shuō)的那么欠缺。最重要的是,思想史家張灝混同了描述性的歷史事實(shí)與依賴邏輯的規(guī)范,混同了"是"和"應(yīng)該"、現(xiàn)實(shí)和可能。理論上,已經(jīng)有很多儒者從不同的進(jìn)路論述了儒家與自由民主的相容性。
[Abstract]:In his essay "Dark consciousness and Democratic tradition", Zhang Hao tries to explain why the West developed democracy but China did not, and his views have a great influence on the Chinese academic circle. But many people with dark consciousness do not really understand the fineness and subtlety of Zhang Hao's article. In fact, whether from the western philosophy or from the Chinese philosophical tradition, Zhang Hao's argument is too big to bear careful examination. The dark consciousness of Christianity is not a sufficient condition for liberal democracy, nor is it a necessary condition for the latter. Confucianism's dark consciousness, from the point of view of the development of democracy, is not as short as Zhang Hao said. Most importantly, ideological historian Zhang Hao mixes descriptive historical facts with the norms of dependent logic, with "yes" and "should", reality and possibility. Theoretically, many Confucians have discussed the compatibility between Confucianism and liberal democracy from different ways.
