Income Inequality of Racial Groups in the U.S.

為了觀察美國(guó)白人,亞洲人和黑人三個(gè)種族群體之間的收入不平等,我打算看看高等教育教育如何與這些群體的收入相關(guān)?為了發(fā)現(xiàn)種族間的收入不平等,我將接受高等教育年數(shù)與不同種族中的同性和異性的平均收入進(jìn)行了比較。我采用這種方法,是因?yàn)榭紤]到平均高等教育年份高應(yīng)該會(huì)產(chǎn)生更高的收入,可以使用多元線性回歸分析以三種方式進(jìn)行考察。首先,通過(guò)比較上述種族群體中男性的收入-教育關(guān)系。二,上述種族中女性的收入-教育關(guān)系。最后,高等教育對(duì)同一種族男女平均收入的影響,有助于觀察任何種族中存在的性別歧視。我把兩個(gè)年齡段的種族和性別不平等分作四個(gè)年齡組,從25歲到64歲。從美國(guó)人口普查局獲得的關(guān)于收入,教育,種族,年齡和性別的數(shù)據(jù)分析結(jié)果與文獻(xiàn)相一致。結(jié)果顯示,與白人相比,亞洲人和黑人有收入不平等的跡象。在收到高等教育的亞洲人之間,收入差距更為突出。性別不平等程度最高的是白人男性和女性之間,黑人(的性別不平等程度)最低,可能是因?yàn)榘兹四行怨べY較高,黑人男性工資最低。收入與教育的相關(guān)性對(duì)于女人來(lái)說(shuō)往往比男人更多。
