【摘要】：本文回顧了作者如何在尼日利亞走上了劇本創(chuàng)作的道路,以及其后的職業(yè)發(fā)展。尼日利亞1960年擺脫英國殖民主義獲得獨立。但是由于文人領導人的腐敗和無能,獨立之后不過十年便陷入軍事獨裁。這一時期,尼日利亞作為石油產(chǎn)出國,極大地受益于國際市場的旺盛需求。然而可悲的是,輕易到手的財富只讓掌權的軍人比其前任平民政府更加腐敗。在這種后殖民加軍事統(tǒng)治的狀況下,我們面臨著雙重的挑戰(zhàn),一方面要從本國的多元文化中創(chuàng)造出新的戲劇,另一方面,要創(chuàng)造有政治擔當?shù)膽騽?揭露軍政府的腐敗,又要繞過他們的審查制度。這就是作者所說的"戲劇的秘密起義",其本人的劇作足以成為例證。
[Abstract]:This paper reviews how the author embarked on the road of script writing in Nigeria and his career development. Nigeria gained independence from British colonialism in 1960. But because of corruption and incompetence among literati leaders, they fell into military dictatorship only a decade after independence. During this period, Nigeria, as an oil producer, greatly benefited from the exuberant demand in the international market. Sadly, however, easy access to wealth only makes soldiers in power more corrupt than their former civilian governments. Under this situation of post-colonial and military rule, we are faced with double challenges: on the one hand, we should create new dramas from the multiculturalism of our country, on the other hand, we should create dramas with political responsibilities and expose the corruption of the military junta. And circumvent their censorship. This is what the author calls the secret uprising of drama, and his own plays are enough examples.
