[Abstract]:It is no exaggeration to say that the 2016 US election is not only a war between the establishment and outsiders, but also a war between the press and Trump. As soon as the election was over, "the failure of the media" became a key word of heated public opinion. A well-known journalist Michael Wolfe wrote in a widely reproduced essay: "the political identity in the US election has been divided into two groups of curses and confrontations, one being the Trump faction and the other the media school." And "Trump's victory reveals the self-righteous failure of the media." the Los Angeles Times comments more historically: "from the 2003 war in Iraq to the financial crisis of 2008."
