對新英格蘭殖民地政教關(guān)系的再探討

【摘要】：在北美新英格蘭殖民地,雖然存在正統(tǒng)宗教或"官方宗教",但這并不等于說清教共同體施行通常所說的"神權(quán)政治",因為一般而言,神權(quán)政治的主要特征是政教合一,而新英格蘭殖民地從創(chuàng)立伊始其政教就是分離的,且許多清教領(lǐng)袖明確主張"政教分離",并有充分的法律和文獻依據(jù)說明這一點。
[Abstract]:In the New England colonies of North America, although there were orthodox or "official religions", this did not mean that the Puritan community practised what was commonly referred to as "theocracy" because, in general, theocratic politics was characterized by the unity of religion and the state. The New England colony was separated from church and state from the beginning of its founding, and many Puritan leaders clearly advocated the separation of church and state, and had sufficient legal and documentary evidence to explain this point.
