LCD圖像內(nèi)容自適應(yīng)動(dòng)態(tài)背光調(diào)試算法的研究與實(shí)現(xiàn)

【摘要】:目前,人們對(duì)便攜式移動(dòng)設(shè)備需求越來(lái)越大,LCD作為人機(jī)交互界面的重要器件,,已成為人與移動(dòng)設(shè)備之間的橋梁。人對(duì)色彩和信息內(nèi)容的需求,使得LCD顯示屏必須具有足夠的分辨率、充足的顏色以及相對(duì)較大的顯示區(qū)域,LCD品質(zhì)的提高也導(dǎo)致了顯示器件功耗的增大。因此提高LCD的顯示品質(zhì),降低顯示器件的功耗已經(jīng)成為一種趨勢(shì),而動(dòng)態(tài)背光技術(shù)作為提高顯示品質(zhì)和降低功耗的重要手段已成為國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者的研究熱點(diǎn)。 論文通過(guò)研究比較現(xiàn)有的LCD動(dòng)態(tài)背光技術(shù),提出了一種改善圖像質(zhì)量、降低功耗的LCD圖像內(nèi)容自適應(yīng)動(dòng)態(tài)背光調(diào)試(CABC)算法。該算法采用行掃描的方式在存儲(chǔ)圖像輸入數(shù)據(jù)的同時(shí)進(jìn)行亮度閾值統(tǒng)計(jì),根據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì)的亮度閾值調(diào)整圖像的輸出數(shù)據(jù),并得到控制背光亮度的PWM控制信號(hào),這樣可以保證當(dāng)前幀的圖像輸出數(shù)據(jù)是由當(dāng)前幀的圖像輸入數(shù)據(jù)與所統(tǒng)計(jì)的亮度閾值處理得到的,同時(shí),通過(guò)生成的PWM信號(hào)控制LED驅(qū)動(dòng)芯片來(lái)降低背光亮度,達(dá)到降低功耗的效果。論文還完成了CABC模塊的電路設(shè)計(jì),并將該模塊嵌入LCD驅(qū)動(dòng)芯片中。芯片的FPGA驗(yàn)證表明,LCD顯示屏上的顯示圖像沒(méi)有出現(xiàn)畫面閃爍,沒(méi)有明顯的區(qū)域色飽和以及亮度飽和現(xiàn)象;動(dòng)態(tài)圖像的顯示能夠跟上原始圖像內(nèi)容的變化,沒(méi)有延時(shí)現(xiàn)象;經(jīng)過(guò)CABC處理的輸出圖像與未經(jīng)CABC處理的圖像相比顏色更加豐富,圖像質(zhì)量有明顯提高。
[Abstract]:At present, the demand for portable mobile devices is increasing. As an important device of man-machine interface, LCD has become a bridge between human and mobile devices. Due to the demand for color and information content, the LCD display must have enough resolution, sufficient color and relatively large display area. The power consumption of the display device is also increased because of the improvement of the quality of the LCD. Therefore, it has become a trend to improve the display quality of LCD and reduce the power consumption of display devices. As an important means to improve the display quality and reduce the power consumption, dynamic backlight technology has become the research hotspot of domestic and foreign scholars. By studying and comparing the existing LCD dynamic backlight technology, this paper presents an adaptive dynamic backlight debugging algorithm for LCD image content, which can improve image quality and reduce power consumption. The algorithm uses row scanning to store image input data and perform brightness threshold statistics. According to the statistical luminance threshold, the output data of the image are adjusted, and the PWM control signal controlling the backlight brightness is obtained. This can ensure that the image output data of the current frame is processed by the image input data of the current frame and the statistical luminance threshold. At the same time, the backlight brightness is reduced by controlling the LED driver chip by the generated PWM signal. Achieve the effect of reducing power consumption. The circuit design of CABC module is also completed, and the module is embedded in LCD driver chip. The FPGA verification of the chip shows that there is no flicker, no region color saturation and luminance saturation in the display image, and the dynamic image display can keep up with the change of the original image content, and there is no delay phenomenon. The output images processed by CABC are more colorful than those without CABC processing, and the image quality is improved obviously.
