    Guanting Reservoir, which is a multipurpose hydro-project mainly used for flood-control and water supply to Beijing, is located on the Yongding River. This river and its tributaries Yang River and Sanggan River are sediment-laden rivers. The sediment yield of the gullied-hilly loess area amounts to 10 kt/km2 or more. The yearly average sediment load at Guanting is 70×106 tons.The storage capacity of the reservoir is 2.27 × 109m3, which consists of two parts-----40% in the main stream and 60%in its...

    Guanting Reservoir, which is a multipurpose hydro-project mainly used for flood-control and water supply to Beijing, is located on the Yongding River. This river and its tributaries Yang River and Sanggan River are sediment-laden rivers. The sediment yield of the gullied-hilly loess area amounts to 10 kt/km2 or more. The yearly average sediment load at Guanting is 70×106 tons.The storage capacity of the reservoir is 2.27 × 109m3, which consists of two parts-----40% in the main stream and 60%in its tributary Guishui River. Since the completion of the dam construction in 1953, the reservoir has been used as a storage basin. Serious defects, such as the rapid loss of storage capacity and the upstream extension of backwater deposition, have been exposed. Now the terminal of the backwater deposition is upstream the confluence of its two tributaries. In this paper the emphases are put on the following problems: the sedimentation process of the sand bar at the river mouth of the Guishui River, its effect on loss of the available storage capacity in the tributary; the upstream extension of backwater deposition and its effect; and the threat of blocking of bottom sluices by sediment. The effect of human acfivity in the basin on incoming water and sediment is discussed.The measures for reducing the siltation in reservoir, the demand for further investigation and research works are also presented.

In order to enhance the transmission capability of the ties, the DC modulation principle, and its results, and its function in the TGHP AC-DC parallel transmission system are described in this paper. The minimal time control theory is used for DC modulation and the sub-optimum control modes are suggested, i.e. phase angle shif (A) and frequency shif (f) modulating modes. During fault condition either in EHVAC or HVDC, 0 or f is used as a control signal to change the transfer power of HVDC immediately, thus the whole interconnected AC-DC system will reach a stable state within a minimal time period. As the digital study indicated that the power unbalance between the sending and receiving ends caused by either the severe fault on the EHV tie-line or the permanent fault on two poles of HVDC line can be decreased rapidly, and the power oscillation can also be damped effectively. Using above stated modulation method, the transfer capability of TGHP can be increased by 10%. Instead of DC modulation, the strategy of generator triping 4x500MW at TGHP will be necessary to maintain similar stability level.

    本文利用最短時(shí)間控制原理研究三峽直流調(diào)制,并按次最優(yōu)控制提出了兩種直流調(diào)制方法。該方法對(duì)交流故障和直流故障均適用,可以有效地抑制系統(tǒng)振蕩,明顯改善系統(tǒng)的暫態(tài)穩(wěn)定性能,提高交直流并聯(lián)輸電的能力。本文還對(duì)直流調(diào)制與切機(jī)措施作了比較。同時(shí)對(duì)直流調(diào)制信號(hào)的選取及調(diào)制量的整定也作了探討。
