基于改進(jìn)橢圓偏振顯微鏡的納米潤滑薄膜動態(tài)觀測

【摘要】:隨著硬盤(HDDs)面記錄密度的增加,讀寫數(shù)據(jù)時磁頭的飛行高度不斷降低。磁頭與磁片表面液體潤滑膜的接觸,會在表面形成半月板,或潤滑劑回升,造成潤滑劑轉(zhuǎn)移。觀測液體潤滑膜的轉(zhuǎn)移過程以及其在磁頭上的動態(tài)變化特性,是研究潤滑劑性能的重要方面。改進(jìn)基于垂直物鏡的橢圓偏振顯微鏡(VEM),提出一種旋轉(zhuǎn)起偏器的方法獲得膜厚與被測光強(qiáng)的線性關(guān)系,實(shí)現(xiàn)磁頭表面潤滑膜動態(tài)觀察,并對現(xiàn)有顯微鏡尤其是照明系統(tǒng)進(jìn)行改進(jìn)。實(shí)驗(yàn)以非極性全氟聚醚(PFPE)潤滑劑Z03覆蓋的磁頭為樣品對橢圓偏振顯微鏡進(jìn)行標(biāo)定。以極性PFPE潤滑劑Zdol4000作為樣品,對其在磁頭表面的去濕現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行觀察。結(jié)果證明顯微鏡橫向分辨力約0.36μm。該方法可用于納米級液體薄膜的可視化觀測。
[Abstract]:With the increase of (HDDs) recording density, the flying height of magnetic head decreases continuously when reading and writing data. The contact between the magnetic head and the liquid lubrication film on the surface of the magnetic disk will form a meniscus on the surface, or the lubricant will rise again, resulting in the transfer of the lubricant. It is important to observe the transfer process of liquid lubricating film and its dynamic change on magnetic head. An improved elliptical polarization microscope (VEM),) based on vertical objective lens is proposed to obtain the linear relationship between film thickness and measured intensity by using a rotating polarizer to realize the dynamic observation of lubricated film on the magnetic head surface. The existing microscope, especially the illumination system, is improved. The elliptical polarization microscope was calibrated with the magnetic head covered by nonpolar perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricant Z03. The dehumidification of polar PFPE lubricant Zdol4000 on the surface of magnetic head was observed. The results show that the transverse resolution of the microscope is about 0.36 渭 m. This method can be used to visualize the liquid film in nanometer scale.
