【摘要】：多核體系結(jié)構(gòu)的發(fā)展,使人們可以以猜測的方式挖掘應(yīng)用中的粗粒度并行,線程級猜測執(zhí)行(TLS)就是其中的典型代表。它的最大優(yōu)點(diǎn)是編程模型非常簡潔——程序員只需標(biāo)識出那些可以猜測執(zhí)行的代碼段即可,運(yùn)行時系統(tǒng)或硬件負(fù)責(zé)確保猜測線程之間的數(shù)據(jù)相關(guān)不被破壞。全面分析了現(xiàn)有的TLS技術(shù),總結(jié)了當(dāng)前TLS面臨的挑戰(zhàn)和未來的主要發(fā)展趨勢。主要貢獻(xiàn)包括:1)按照猜測變量的生命周期提出了一種新的TLS技術(shù)分類方法,并比較了各種已有方法的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn);2)根據(jù)猜測變量的生命周期,歸納了支持TLS的多核平臺的設(shè)計空間,提出了探索該設(shè)計空間的若干方法;3)指出了TLS技術(shù)當(dāng)前面臨的挑戰(zhàn)和未來的發(fā)展趨勢。
[Abstract]:With the development of multi-core architecture, coarse-grained parallelism in applications can be mined by conjecture, and thread level conjecture execution (TLS) is a typical example.Its biggest advantage is that the programming model is very simple-the programmer simply needs to identify the pieces of code that can be guessed and executed, and the runtime system or hardware is responsible for ensuring that the data correlation between the guessing threads is not broken.This paper analyzes the existing TLS technology, summarizes the current TLS challenges and the main trends in the future.The main contributions include: 1) A new TLS classification method is proposed according to the life cycle of the conjectured variables, and the advantages and disadvantages of various existing methods are compared. (2) according to the life cycle of the conjectured variables, the design space of the multi-core platform supporting TLS is summarized.Several methods to explore the design space are put forward. The challenges and future trends of TLS technology are pointed out.
