中國近代留學地質學家群體研究

【摘要】:科學是一種社會實踐活動,其研究的主體由科學家組成。中國近代社會處于風雨飄搖的動蕩時期,中國人民不斷探索救亡圖存的道路。中國近代科學也在這個大背景下命途多舛。而在這一過程中,留學生發(fā)揮了其重要作用,特別是歸國的留學生群體,他們?yōu)樽鎳目茖W事業(yè),尤其是地質事業(yè)做出了突出貢獻。他們?yōu)閲液兔褡宓膹团d,通過公派或自籌經(jīng)費,走出國門,希望用自己所學的知識科技救國。他們學成歸國,帶回了先進的知識文化,利用科學武器愛護、保衛(wèi)自己的國家。他們的愛國精神值得傳揚后世。歸國后,他們?yōu)樽鎳刭|事業(yè)的建立、開拓貢獻自己的力量,他們注重教育,培養(yǎng)了一批又一批的地質人才,推進了地質科學體制化進程。本文將歸國留學地質學家群體分為三部分,選取中國近代留學地質學家群體的一部分典型人物研究,從中國社會基本狀況入手,分析在當時所處的社會大背景下人物的基本情況。通過不同時期留學群體的留學經(jīng)歷、歸國貢獻等,分析這些地質學家群體的愛國情懷與科學精神,以及他們留給后人的啟迪。
[Abstract]:Science is a kind of social practice activity, and the subject of its research is composed of scientists. China's modern society is in a turbulent period, the Chinese people are constantly exploring the road to save the nation. China's modern science is also in this context, the fate of many ill-fated. In this process, the international students play an important role, especially the returned students group, they have made outstanding contributions to the scientific cause of the motherland, especially the geological cause. They seek to save the country with their knowledge and science and technology through public or self-financing for the rejuvenation of the country and the nation. They learned to return home, bringing back advanced knowledge and culture, using scientific weapons to protect their country. Their patriotism is worth spreading to later generations. After returning to China, they contributed their own strength to the establishment of the geological cause of the motherland, and they paid attention to education, cultivated a number of geological talents, and advanced the process of systematization of geological science. In this paper, the group of returned geologists is divided into three parts, and some typical characters of the group of geologists studying abroad in modern China are selected, starting with the basic situation of Chinese society. Analyze the basic situation of the characters in the social background at that time. Through the experience of studying abroad and the contribution of studying abroad in different periods, this paper analyzes the patriotic feelings and scientific spirit of these geologists, and the inspiration they leave to future generations.
