保偏空芯帶隙光子晶體光纖溫度特性研究

【摘要】:提出了一種具有良好保偏(PM)特性的空芯帶隙光子晶體光纖(PBF)結(jié)構(gòu),利用全矢量有限元方法(FEM)對光纖有效折射率、拍長及限制損耗特性受溫度波動的影響進行了研究。研究結(jié)果表明,在1.55μm波長處,該PBF的雙折射高達6.19×10-3,拍長不超過0.25 mm;PBF拍長對溫度波動不敏感,拍長溫度敏感系數(shù)低于2.86×10-8m/℃,比常規(guī)的熊貓保偏光纖低兩個數(shù)量級;光纖損耗對溫度波動較為敏感,兩正交偏振態(tài)限制損耗會隨溫度提高而增大。這種具有極低拍長溫度敏感系數(shù)的PM-PBF可以有效降低諧振式光纖陀螺(RFOG)中熱致偏振不穩(wěn)定帶來的誤差,在RFOG、光纖通訊、光纖傳感等領(lǐng)域具有重要的應(yīng)用價值。
[Abstract]:An empty band gap photonic crystal fiber (PBF) structure with good polarization-maintaining (PM) characteristics is proposed. The effective refractive index of the optical fiber is obtained by using the full-vector finite element method (FEM). The effects of temperature fluctuation on beat length and limiting loss characteristics are studied. The results show that the birefringence of the PBF is 6.19 脳 10 ~ (-3) and the beat length is not more than 0.25 mm; at the wavelength of 1.55 渭 m.
