TO-CAN封裝的半導(dǎo)體激光器的熱分析及溫控研究

【摘要】:半導(dǎo)體激光器由于具有體積小、重量輕、效率高、可靠性強等優(yōu)點,已經(jīng)成為當(dāng)今光電子科技的發(fā)展核心。但是由于半導(dǎo)體激光器在工作時存在著各種原因造成的損耗,使其有部分電能會轉(zhuǎn)化為熱能,從而引起激光器的溫度升高。激光器的溫度升高會對它的閾值電流、輸出功率和使用壽命等產(chǎn)生影響,因此在半導(dǎo)體激光器的研究中,對它的溫度控制成為一個重要的研究方向。半導(dǎo)體制冷器(TEC)是利用半導(dǎo)體的熱電效應(yīng)來進行溫度控制的器件。它具有(1)結(jié)構(gòu)簡單,體積小,重量輕;(2)制冷速度快,方便控制;(3)不使用制冷劑,綠色環(huán)保;(4)具有可逆性,通過改變工作電流方向就可以控制加熱、制冷等特點。由于這些優(yōu)點,半導(dǎo)體制冷器在很多領(lǐng)域都得到迅速的發(fā)展。特別是當(dāng)半導(dǎo)體制冷器的小型化取得巨大的進展后,它的量級可以達到毫米級,這就使它成為半導(dǎo)體激光器的最佳溫控選擇之一。本文針對TEC工作和不工作這兩種情況進行了仿真。當(dāng)TEC不工作時,設(shè)置不同的外界環(huán)境溫度,對TO_CAN模型進行穩(wěn)態(tài)和瞬態(tài)熱分析。通過溫度場云圖觀察TO_CAN模型的溫度分布情況,通過溫度時間曲線觀察溫度隨時間的變化趨勢。當(dāng)TEC工作時,針對TEC功率不變和改變兩種情況進行仿真。首先設(shè)置TEC的功率為一個恒定的值,對比TEC工作與TEC不工作時TO_CAN模型的溫度變化情況。第二,為了能方便的控制溫度,設(shè)計了一種動態(tài)控制TEC功率的方法。它可以根據(jù)檢測到的溫度調(diào)整TEC的功率,調(diào)節(jié)內(nèi)部溫度盡快達到穩(wěn)態(tài)。最后,提出了一種改進的動態(tài)控制TEC功率的方法-“多級控制法”,它將檢測到的溫度進一步細化,在不同的溫度范圍采取不同的調(diào)控措施,該方法與上一種方法相比,收斂速度更快,收斂性更好。
[Abstract]:Semiconductor lasers have become the core of optoelectronic technology due to their small size, light weight, high efficiency and high reliability. However, due to the loss of semiconductor laser due to various reasons, some of its electrical energy will be converted into heat energy, which will cause the temperature of the laser to rise. The temperature rise of the laser will affect its threshold current, output power and service life. Therefore, in the study of semiconductor lasers, temperature control has become an important research direction. Semiconductor cooler (TECs) is a kind of device which uses thermoelectric effect of semiconductor to control temperature. It has the advantages of simple structure, small volume, light weight, high speed of refrigeration, convenient control without using refrigerant, green environmental protection and 4) reversibility. Heating and refrigeration can be controlled by changing the direction of working current. Because of these advantages, semiconductor refrigerators have been developed rapidly in many fields. Especially when the miniaturization of semiconductor refrigerators has made great progress its order of magnitude can reach millimeter which makes it one of the best temperature control options for semiconductor lasers. In this paper, the TEC working and non-working two cases are simulated. When TEC does not work, the steady state and transient thermal analysis of TOCs can model is carried out by setting different ambient temperature. The temperature distribution of Toji can model was observed by the temperature field cloud diagram, and the change trend of temperature with time was observed by the curve of temperature and time. When the TEC is working, the TEC power invariance and change are simulated. Firstly, the power of TEC is set to a constant value, and the temperature change of TEC can model is compared with that of TEC when TEC is not working. Secondly, in order to control the temperature conveniently, a dynamic control method of TEC power is designed. It can adjust the power of TEC according to the detected temperature and adjust the internal temperature to steady state as soon as possible. Finally, an improved method of dynamic control of TEC power, "multistage control method", is proposed. It further refines the detected temperature and takes different control measures in different temperature ranges. The method is compared with the previous method. The convergence rate is faster and the convergence is better.
