基于光敏手性偶氮苯分子的膽甾相液晶的寬帶顯示

【摘要】:膽甾相液晶可以自組裝形成螺旋結(jié)構(gòu),具有選擇性反射性能,即布拉格(Bragg)反射。通過(guò)添加光敏手性劑,在光照條件下,可以可逆調(diào)控膽甾相液晶器件Bragg反射帶的移動(dòng)。受液晶雙折射率常數(shù)的影響,Bragg反射帶帶寬通常小于100nm,限制了膽甾相液晶在反射型器件中的應(yīng)用。Broer等人在光照調(diào)控下實(shí)現(xiàn)了 Bragg反射帶的擴(kuò)寬,但是存在器件性能不穩(wěn)定,不能可逆調(diào)控等問(wèn)題。并且由于光控調(diào)節(jié)實(shí)現(xiàn)不同性能所需要的液晶器件的配比和光控條件存在差異,迄今為止關(guān)于膽留相液晶Bragg反射帶移動(dòng)和擴(kuò)寬的研究都是獨(dú)立進(jìn)行的。使得膽甾相液晶的應(yīng)用受到諸多限制。針對(duì)以上問(wèn)題,本課題所涉及的研究?jī)?nèi)容包括:(1)制備新型光敏手性偶氮苯材料Azo-o-Bi,并對(duì)其光敏性能和手性性能進(jìn)行表征。將其應(yīng)用于光敏膽留相液晶器件的制備中,在光照條件下實(shí)現(xiàn)了對(duì)膽甾相液晶器件反射帶的可逆調(diào)控。(2)研究液晶粘度對(duì)手性劑手性性能的影響,發(fā)現(xiàn)在粘度較大的液晶中,手性劑的HTP值及AHTP值都較大。通過(guò)對(duì)比在相同光照條件調(diào)控下的不同粘度的膽留相液晶器件Bragg反射帶的移動(dòng)速率和其在暗室中的穩(wěn)定性性能,發(fā)現(xiàn)具有較大粘度的膽留相液晶器件的光控可逆調(diào)節(jié)性能優(yōu)越,且在暗室中的穩(wěn)定性最好。(3)通過(guò)控制光照條件,成功制備出膽甾相液晶的寬帶顯示器件。僅通過(guò)控制光照條件在相同的液晶顯示器件中首次實(shí)現(xiàn)了對(duì)器件反射帶位置和反射帶帶寬的可逆調(diào)控。通過(guò)研究在相同的光照條件下不同粘度的液晶寬帶反射狀態(tài)的穩(wěn)定性性能,成功制備出具有穩(wěn)定性能的膽甾相液晶寬帶反射器件。通過(guò)以上研究,僅通過(guò)控制光照條件在相同的液晶顯示器件中首次實(shí)現(xiàn)了對(duì)器件反射帶位置和反射帶帶寬的可逆調(diào)控。并制備出具有穩(wěn)定性能的紅、綠、藍(lán)顯示器件和黑-白顯示器件。實(shí)現(xiàn)了光控對(duì)于相液晶Bragg反射帶的精確靈敏調(diào)控,本課題的研究將有效的擴(kuò)展膽留相液晶在顯示領(lǐng)域中的應(yīng)用。
[Abstract]:Cholesteric liquid crystals can be self-assembled to form spiral structures with selective reflectivity, I. e. Bragg-Bragg-reflection. By adding Guang Min chiral agent, the Bragg reflectance band movement of cholesteric liquid crystal device can be controlled reversible under light condition. Due to the influence of liquid crystal birefringence constant, the bandwidth of Bragg reflectance band is usually less than 100 nm, which limits the application of cholesteric liquid crystal in reflective devices. Broer and others have realized the broadening of Bragg reflectance band under illumination control, but the performance of the device is unstable. Irreversible regulation and so on. Due to the difference of the ratio and the optical control conditions of the liquid crystal devices needed to achieve different performance by optical control, so far, the research on the shift and broadening of the reflecting band of the bilayer liquid crystal (Bragg) has been carried out independently. The application of cholesteric liquid crystal is limited. In view of the above problems, the research contents of this paper include the preparation of novel Guang Min chiral azobenzene material Azo-Bi. and the characterization of its Guang Min and chiral properties. It was applied to the preparation of Guang Min bilayer liquid crystal device. The reversible control of the reflective band of cholesteric liquid crystal device was realized under the illumination condition. The effect of liquid crystal viscosity chiral agent on chiral properties of liquid crystal viscosity was studied. It was found that the chiral property of liquid crystal viscosity was higher in the liquid crystal with high viscosity. The HTP and AHTP values of chiral agents were higher. By comparing the moving rate of Bragg reflectance band and its stability in dark chamber with different viscosity under the same illumination condition, it is found that the light-controlled reversible regulation performance of bilirubin liquid crystal device with high viscosity is superior. And the stability in the darkroom is the best. 3) by controlling the illumination condition, the cholesteric liquid crystal wideband display device has been successfully fabricated. The reversible control of the reflected band position and band bandwidth is realized for the first time in the same liquid crystal display device by controlling the illumination condition. By studying the stability of liquid crystal wideband reflectors with different viscosity under the same illumination condition, the cholesteric liquid crystal wideband reflectors with stable properties have been successfully fabricated. Through the above research, the reversible control of the reflected band position and the reflectance band bandwidth is realized for the first time in the same liquid crystal display device by controlling the illumination condition. Red, green and blue display devices and black-white display devices with stable performance are fabricated. The precise and sensitive control of the Bragg reflectance band of phase liquid crystal by light control has been realized. The research in this paper will effectively expand the application of the remaining phase liquid crystal in the field of display.
