可調(diào)諧DFB激光器及其控制電路

【摘要】:可調(diào)諧半導(dǎo)體激光器是光纖通信系統(tǒng)和下一代光網(wǎng)絡(luò)的關(guān)鍵器件之一。它不僅能為密集波分復(fù)用(DWDM)系統(tǒng)提供及時(shí)、有效的庫存管理以及快速建立信道的功能,從而極大降低光源備用方案的成本,而且能為下一代可重構(gòu)光網(wǎng)絡(luò)提供自動(dòng)波長配置、波長轉(zhuǎn)換和波長路由功能,進(jìn)而大大提高了網(wǎng)絡(luò)的動(dòng)態(tài)靈活性和帶寬利用率。可調(diào)諧半導(dǎo)體激光器憑著其應(yīng)用前景的廣闊,獲得了國內(nèi)外普遍的關(guān)注。鑒于本實(shí)驗(yàn)室基于REC技術(shù)的半導(dǎo)體陣列激光器的研究和應(yīng)用,本文利用REC技術(shù)大大降低陣列激光器芯片的制造成本的巨大優(yōu)勢,提出了一種基于REC陣列激光器芯片并采用微電機(jī)控制的高性能、低成本的可調(diào)諧激光器方案。本文首先回顧了光纖通信、可調(diào)諧半導(dǎo)體激光器的發(fā)展,發(fā)現(xiàn)高性能、低成本的可調(diào)諧激光器將會(huì)極大的推動(dòng)可調(diào)激光器的在光通信領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用,進(jìn)而促進(jìn)光通信的發(fā)展。其次,本文簡單介紹了基于REC技術(shù)的DFB激光器陣列,然后基于本實(shí)驗(yàn)室對陣列激光器的優(yōu)勢基礎(chǔ),設(shè)計(jì)了一種機(jī)械調(diào)諧的模塊,通過將光纖固定在電機(jī)上,控制電機(jī)機(jī)械移動(dòng)選擇波長通道,進(jìn)而實(shí)現(xiàn)波長調(diào)諧。我們完成了該可調(diào)諧DFB激光器模塊的搭建,并且對整個(gè)模塊進(jìn)行了整體控制電路設(shè)計(jì),配合模塊方案,反復(fù)試驗(yàn)調(diào)試,最終實(shí)現(xiàn)了對8通道DFB激光器陣列的電機(jī)機(jī)械調(diào)諧,單個(gè)激光器的溫度調(diào)諧以保證能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)波長連續(xù)調(diào)諧以及電調(diào)諧。通過這種機(jī)械調(diào)諧的方式實(shí)現(xiàn)波長調(diào)諧的范圍很大,只需設(shè)計(jì)所需波長的REC激光器陣列,就可以實(shí)現(xiàn)全C波段的調(diào)諧甚至更大,并且成本很低,具有很大的應(yīng)用前景。
[Abstract]:Tunable semiconductor laser is one of the key devices in optical fiber communication system and next generation optical network. It can not only provide timely and effective inventory management for DWDM (dense wavelength Division Multiplexing) system, but also establish channel quickly. This greatly reduces the cost of alternative light source schemes and provides automatic wavelength configuration, wavelength conversion and wavelength routing functions for the next generation of reconfigurable optical networks. Thus, the dynamic flexibility and bandwidth utilization of the network are greatly improved. In view of the research and application of semiconductor array lasers based on REC technology in our laboratory, this paper makes use of REC technology to greatly reduce the manufacturing cost of array laser chips. A high performance, low cost tunable laser scheme based on REC array laser chip and controlled by micromotor is proposed. The development of optical fiber communication and tunable semiconductor laser is reviewed in this paper. Low-cost tunable lasers will greatly promote the application of tunable lasers in the field of optical communication, and then promote the development of optical communication. Secondly, this paper briefly introduces the DFB laser array based on REC technology. Then, based on the advantage of the lab to the array laser, a mechanical tuning module is designed, which can control the mechanical movement of the motor to select the wavelength channel by fixing the optical fiber on the motor. Then the wavelength tuning is realized. We have completed the building of the tunable DFB laser module, and designed the whole module control circuit, cooperated with the module scheme, repeatedly tested and debugged, Finally, the motor mechanical tuning of 8-channel DFB laser array and the temperature tuning of a single laser are realized to ensure the continuous and electric tuning of the wavelength, and the range of wavelength tuning by this mechanical tuning method is very large. By designing the REC laser array with the required wavelength, the tuning of the whole C-band can be realized even greater, and the cost is very low, so it has a great application prospect.
