基于總線負(fù)載的自適應(yīng)頻率調(diào)節(jié)系統(tǒng)

【摘要】:系統(tǒng)總線是片上系統(tǒng)中承載IP通信的模塊,現(xiàn)有研究多通過靜態(tài)預(yù)設(shè)的方法使總線頻率在滿足最高性能的需求下保持不變,造成性能浪費(fèi)。針對該問題,提出一種動態(tài)功耗管理策略,實(shí)現(xiàn)自適應(yīng)頻率調(diào)節(jié)系統(tǒng)。通過監(jiān)測總線主設(shè)備的負(fù)載狀態(tài),根據(jù)程序運(yùn)行的歷史結(jié)果預(yù)測下一時間段的總線負(fù)載需求,并對預(yù)測結(jié)果自適應(yīng)配置最佳總線頻率,從而在達(dá)到性能要求的前提下保持最小功耗。該策略能夠快速建立穩(wěn)定的頻率調(diào)節(jié)模式,具有較好的穩(wěn)定性和可靠性。實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果表明,該策略相比靜態(tài)管理策略可使總線功耗降低45.6%~50.7%。
[Abstract]:The system bus is a module carrying IP communication in the on-chip system. Most of the existing researches make the bus frequency remain the same under the requirement of the highest performance by static presupposition, resulting in a waste of performance. A dynamic power management strategy is proposed to realize the adaptive frequency regulation system. By monitoring the load state of the bus main equipment, the bus load requirements for the next time period are predicted according to the historical results of the program operation. It adaptively configures the optimal bus frequency to achieve the performance requirements and keep the minimum power consumption. The strategy can quickly establish a stable frequency regulation mode. The experimental results show that compared with the static management strategy, the bus power consumption can be reduced by 45.6% and 50.7%.
