【摘要】:垂直腔表面發(fā)射激光器(VCSELs)具有發(fā)散角小,閡值電流低,單縱模輸出,易于集成等優(yōu)點(diǎn),在光通信、光儲(chǔ)存和光開關(guān)等方面應(yīng)用廣泛。其中,VCSELs的偏振轉(zhuǎn)換(PS)特性研究備受關(guān)注,F(xiàn)有報(bào)道中呈現(xiàn)的多次PS現(xiàn)象大多是由電流引發(fā)的,而關(guān)于電流以外的其它系統(tǒng)參量連續(xù)變化所導(dǎo)致的多次PS現(xiàn)象的研究較少。互注入VCSELs系統(tǒng)中的耦合參量和兩個(gè)VCSELs的中心頻率是影響其動(dòng)力學(xué)狀態(tài)并易于控制的關(guān)鍵參量,所以上述參量對(duì)Ps特性的影響有較大的研究?jī)r(jià)值。本文基于自旋反轉(zhuǎn)模型(SFM),理論研究了互注入VCSELs系統(tǒng)中參數(shù)連續(xù)變化所引起的多次偏振轉(zhuǎn)換(PS)特性。研究結(jié)果表明:連續(xù)改變互注入強(qiáng)度、兩個(gè)互注入VCSELs中一個(gè)激光器的激射頻率以及同時(shí)連續(xù)改變兩個(gè)激光器的激射頻率,均可產(chǎn)生多次的PS。連續(xù)改變互注入強(qiáng)度引起的多次PS之間間隔比較均勻,并給出了能發(fā)生PS的互注入系數(shù)極大值與耦合延時(shí)的關(guān)系;固定一個(gè)激光器激射頻率,連續(xù)改變另一個(gè)激光器的激射頻率也會(huì)導(dǎo)致多次PS,其中激射頻率相對(duì)較小的激光器PS更稀疏;同時(shí)改變兩激光器激射頻率出現(xiàn)的多次PS具有很好的周期性。對(duì)于以上情形,越大的耦合延時(shí)時(shí)間都會(huì)導(dǎo)致多次PS更密集,PS的上升沿和下降沿更陡峭。
[Abstract]:Vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSELs) has the advantages of low divergence angle, low threshold current, single longitudinal mode output, easy integration and so on. It is widely used in optical communication, optical storage and optical switch. The study of polarization conversion (PS) characteristics of VCSELs has attracted much attention. Most of the PS phenomena in current reports are caused by current. However, few studies have been done on the multiple PS phenomena caused by the continuous variation of other system parameters other than current. The coupling parameters and the central frequency of two VCSELs in the interinjection VCSELs system affect the motion of the system. Key parameters in mechanical state and easy to control. Therefore, the influence of the above parameters on the properties of Ps is of great value. This paper is based on the spin inversion model (SFM). The properties of multiple polarization conversion (PSs) caused by the continuous variation of parameters in the VCSELs system are studied theoretically. The results show that the mutual injection intensity is changed continuously. The excitation frequency of one laser in the two mutually injected VCSELs and the continuous change of the laser excitation frequency of the two lasers at the same time. The interval between PS caused by continuous change of mutual injection intensity is uniform, and the relationship between the maximum of mutual injection coefficient and coupling delay is given. When one laser is fixed, the PSs of another laser can be changed continuously, and the PS of the laser with a relatively small laser frequency is more sparse than that of the other laser. For the above case, the longer the coupling delay time is, the more steep the rise edge and descent edge of PS are.
