【摘要】：清末預備立憲,要求教育普及的進程加快。經學融入學堂出現問題,讓"普及教育"和"保存舊學"難以兼顧。用西學辦法條理中學,自然會用西式觀念審視和衡量中國固有文化,指經學為無用。趨新教育家進一步要求用西學辦法徹底整合中學,導致宣統(tǒng)三年中央教育會通過了廢除小學堂讀經的決議。中央教育會圍繞是否廢除小學堂讀經議案開展的博弈,反映了晚清朝野上下在教育改革趨向以及舊學認知上的定位,展示了經學在近代的命運走向。
[Abstract]:The preparation of the constitution in the late Qing Dynasty required that the process of popularization of education be speeded up. There were problems with the integration of Confucian classics into the school, which made it difficult to balance "education for all" and "preserving the old school". Naturally, the idea of western style will be used to examine and measure the inherent culture of China, which means that the study of the classics is useless. The new educationists have further demanded the thorough integration of secondary schools with the method of western learning. This led to the adoption of a resolution by the Central Education Committee of Xuantong for three years to abolish the reading of the classics in primary schools. The game between the central education committee and the motion on whether to abolish the reading of the scriptures of primary schools reflected the orientation of the educational reform and the cognition of the old school in the late Qing Dynasty. It shows the fate of Confucian classics in modern times.
