Abstract:Itisimportanttostudytourismclusterthatcouldincreasecompetitiveness,improveeconomicde-velopmentandprogressspatialstructureofthetouristindustry.Therearesomespatialagglomerationsfromdevelopmentoftouristindustrythewholeworld.Accordingtotheresearchesfromhomeandabroad,lotsofscholarspayattentiontoLarge-andMeso-Scaleoftourismclusters,butmicro-scaleoftourismclusterswereneglected.Researchesontourismclusteraremainlyaboutrelationshipsbetweenindustryclusterandcompet-itiveadvantage,cultivationandevaluationoftourismcluster.Onlyfewscholarsstudiedevolutionandformat-tingmechanismoftourismcluster.SomestudieshavefoundthatMICEpromoteconventionsoftouristfactorsinspecialareasofthecity.MICEtourismofGuangzhouisoneofthemostdevelopedcitiesinChina,anditisanimportantcityamongcentralcitiesofourcountryfromitsconventionfacilitiestonumbersofconventionsandexhibitions.TheCantonFairisoneofthelongesthistoryconventionsanditaffectsurbandevelopmentandurbantouristdevelopmentofGuangzhou.OnthebaseofdefiningMICEtourismcluster,thepapertriestofindtheprocessoftourismclusterandformattingmechanisminGuangzhou.Thestudyfound:firstly,theCantonFairpromotedMICEtourismclusterinGuangzhou;secondly,influencingfactorsaredifferentinthedifferentstageofMICEtourismcluster.Intheclusteringnetworkstage,theun-scaleeffectandtheCantonFairmovingtoPazhouexhibitioncenterresultedinthestabilizationofnumbersoftouristenterprises.Thirdly,exhibitioniscoreofMICEtourismclustersothatexhibitionmovingfromthecentralareaofthecitytourbanfringewillleadtospatialvariabilityofMICEtourismcluster.Atlast,withtheCantonFaircompletelymov-ingtoPazhouexhibitioncenter,MICEtourismclusternearLiuhuaexhibitioncenterwillappeartworesultsafter2008.
